Agenda 2030: Poland for Sustainable Development


In 2015, the United Nations, in a resolution of the General Assembly, proposed 17 goals of sustainable development covering 5 areas: people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership. This resolution was signed by 193 member states of the United Nations and is, in a way, a continuation of the Millennium Development Goals. The program aims to: eradicate poverty and hunger in the world, ensure a good quality of life and education for all, gender equality, environmental protection and responsible consumption.
Project "Ambasador / ka Sustainable Development (SDGs) UNAP"
At the beginning of November, the United Nations Association in Poland officially launched the first edition of the "Ambassador of Sustainable Development" program. Under the leadership of 2 coordinators, Weronika Adamczak and Natalia Stasik, and a team of mentors, as many as 11 Ambassadors of high school age will disseminate knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals in their local communities.


Publication "Sustainable urban development in Poland - from theory to practice"
In the report "Sustainable development of cities in Poland - from theory to practice", which was created in cooperation with 18 local governments from 11 provinces, we show in an accessible way how local governments in Poland work towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, in particular target 11 relating to sustainable cities and communities.

Field games - discover the history of the city and learn about the Sustainable Development Goals!
The aim of city games is to have fun with your loved ones and to gain knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals and the history of Wrocław. The game is a great way to spend a Saturday with family and friends.
The task of the participants, who will be divided into 4-person teams, will be to find new stations, solve tasks and puzzles, everything to get as many points as possible and have fun. There are prizes for the best. The game is intended for both adults and children.

Partnership for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals
In October 2020, the United Nations Association Poland officially joined the partnership for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals during the National Stakeholder Forum organized annually by the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology.
